My career path looks like a global adventure – 23 years deep in international production and editing, with some

amazing award-winning projects landing on major networks. Then there's the teaching, from sparking creativity in

young minds to guiding adults through Media Literacy and editing. Sure, it might seem like two separate worlds –

media and education, for me,  they're the culmination of incredible journeys that I've had the time and privilege to

really be immersed in. Bringing those two passions together feels like exactly where I'm meant to be.

At my core, I'm a media person – a video editor and producer I am most alive crafting compelling stories, whether

it's through the lens of a documentary, the sonic resonance of DJ set or digital content wizardry in post. Equally at

home in the edit suite, DJ booth, broadcast studio or the filed, I quickly adjust to the demands in the moment.

I'm all about those post-production workflows, geeking out a bit over Adobe Premiere Pro or Avid to shape

narratives that grab eyeballs. What really drives me is the power of a well-told story, and I thrive when I'm

bouncing ideas off  others, even helping them find their creative voice.

When I'm not immersed in the media world, you'll likely find me writing poetry or digging  for the perfect beat to

weave into a DJ set – friends, family, and my Brooklyn community of  artists and adventurers. My first gig in radio

back in Nairobi still holds a special place.  And now, the explosion of African music, especially Afro House and

Afro Tech and Amapiano, electrifies me. Growing up in Kenya, that energy is part of my soul, and I love finding

innovative ways to share it – whether it's through a DJ mix, a piece of art, or the way I connect with students in a

classroom or even organizing a wilderness excursions for US families to experience the healing balm of a Safari.

Let's create something and maybe even track big cats in the Serengeti together while brainstorming!
